Originally designed to train the quick twitch muscles of the wrists of competitive jump rope athletes, speed balls are now considered a secret weapon! Speed ball trainers allow athletes to eliminate the thought of having to clear or jump over the cord and put 100% focus on wrist patterns, hand and elbow placement and symmetry issues. The speed balls are used in all of Molly’s seminars and are considered a crucial tool in truly getting a sense of how to control the jump rope with technicality vs. arm/shoulder power. Speed balls are also awesome for athletes with lower body injuries or athletes who want to jump rope in confined spaces.
