Constantly-Varied, High-Intensity Jump Ropes: Warrior Ropes
Designed and patented by 5-Time World Jump Rope Champion, Molly Metz, the R3 Warrior Rope is part of the R-Series jump rope progression and serves many purposes.
The Warrior rope is used to warm up upon getting to the gym, getting the arms, heart, and legs pumping (like running a mile in one spot).
It also provides an additional challenge to athletes who are looking for constantly-varied, high-intensity challenges. Just ask 2013 Garage Games One athletes, who were surprised to learn that they would be required to do double unders with a beaded rope in one of the competition’s WODs (the playing field was totally shaken up). The rope can also be used to train jump rope for high-intensity interval training (HIIT): boxing, MMA, & wrestling.
Inertial Reference for Beginners to Double Unders:
Lastly, the additional weight and thickness of the beads provide an “inertial reference” for beginning jumpers who are still learning double unders, and who may need to FEEL where their ropes are when they jump. Or perhaps they’re ideal for jumpers who tend to spin their ropes too FAST. The weight and inertia of the beads will help provide a nice reference.
The handles are made of an ultra-durable nylon, the patented bearing system makes them virtually friction-free, making this rope feel effortless at times.
Note: Beaded ropes are INCREDIBLY DURABLE, lasting for years on concrete, and can be sized with knots- making them virtually maintanence-free!
